The RSD Office of Communications shares news and information about the District with news media, parents, students and the community. The office produces news releases and district publications, facilitates media and public relations, handles public information requests, maintains the RSD Web site and coordinates special events. Our goal is to facilitate timely, two-way communication between the district and public, and to promote RSD programs and vision.

Guidelines for School Staff
The Office of Communications coordinates all media visits to schools and all interviews with staff and students on school property.
In the event of unscheduled visits, school personnel must require that members of the media remain in the school office until the Office of Communications is informed of the visit.
Media consent forms signed by parents or guardian must be on file at schools and accessible when needed.

In compliance with the Louisiana Public Records Act, the RSD will provide the members of the media and public with access to non-confidential public records maintained by the District.
