About the program
The Recovery School District’s Gifted and Talented Program offers students:

In-depth training in music, theater arts, visual arts and gifted academics

A high degree of self-sufficiency

Knowledge and application of the academic and artistic skills necessary for a successful career in their chosen discipline, and the ability to make career judgments for themselves

An understanding of what is best in their academic and arts discipline, insights into the qualities of other academic and arts disciplines and appreciation of the value of school in general
The Gifted and Talented Program immerses gifted and talented students in the painstaking process of becoming cognitive thinking individuals. This challenging process requires diligence and hard work.
About the faculty
As certified artist-teachers and certified gifted scholars, G/T faculty members prepare students for the real world and instill the attributes of a mature, discerning individual. Preparation for a professional career in the arts or academics requires exercise of the creative imagination, intensive practice and serious study of both the history and craft of a chosen arts or academic discipline.
