Please note the vacancy list is for the 2010-2011 school year, and only schools with vacancies are listed. It is updated every Wednesday and Friday to ensure that vacancies are accurate and is subject to change as vacancies are filled on an ongoing basis. All vacancies must be re-verified through the Human Resources department before being filled.

How to Apply for a Non-Teaching Position in the RSD

  • Applicants must complete the on-line “Job Application” at www.teachlouisiana.net.
  • Applicants for school-based positions (social workers, counselors, paraprofessionals, etc.) must meet Louisiana minimum requirements for position including, but not limited to certification and highly qualified guidelines.
  • You must first create an account by completing the registration form found at http://www.teachlouisiana.net/signup.asp
  • Directions to complete an application:
  • create an account by completing a registration form – access this form by clicking the “New to Teach Louisiana” above the user name field 
  • click the “login” link in the upper right-hand corner of the page after submitting your registration
  • visit the “Job Seekers” page and click on the “Online Job Application” link on the left-hand side
  • on the final page of the online application select “Option #1” to submit your application directly to the Recovery School District
  • scroll to the bottom of the final application page and select “Orleans Parish, Recovery School District” to submit your application to the RSD
  • Should you experience difficulty in using the Teach Louisiana online application form, please call the recruiting office at 504-373-6200 ext. 20005 or call the Louisiana Department of Education Help Desk at 1-877-453-2721.
